Built on Real Experience
Joel and Kelly Schmidt first met as kids, spending summers at Higgins Lake. Years later, they reconnected in 2008 β just as the real estate market was collapsing.
Joel was working at a Brighton brokerage. Kelly was an agent in Illinois. Together, they spent the next five years helping homeowners navigate foreclosures and short sales β building relationships and guiding families through the hardest financial decisions of their lives.
By 2013, the market had rebounded and those same clients came back. In 2015, they launched Realty Concierge Group with a simple idea: build a team where agents work together to serve clients, rather than compete with each other.
What started as childhood summers by the lake has grown into a trusted real estate team serving all of Southeast Michigan.

Joel Schmidt
In real estate since 1995. Joel built RCG around a simple observation: most agents leave clients in the dark. He created the Appraisal Booster Method, developed RCG's suite of seller tools, and personally oversees pricing strategy and listing positioning on every transaction.
Joel is the person who determines how to price your home, what improvements will move the appraisal, and how to position you for the strongest possible outcome.
Kelly Schmidt
Kelly heads RCG's Luxury Division, specializing in distinctive homes, seasonal residences, and high-end property management. She brings a hospitality-level approach to real estate β clients working with Kelly experience concierge-style service from first conversation to closing.
If you are selling or buying a luxury property, Kelly provides the discretion, market knowledge, and presentation standards that premium properties require.
Christine Faulkner
With RCG since 2013. Christine makes sure your closing happens on time. She coordinates with title companies and lenders, tracks every deadline, and ensures nothing is missed between accepted offer and closing day.
Megan Benny
Joined RCG in 2019. Megan runs the listing department β photography, MLS entry, platform syndication, and marketing. She is the reason your listing launches polished and on time.
Ashley Bosco
Former automotive engineer with 20 years of analytical problem-solving. Brighton community member for over a decade. Ashley brings a detail-oriented mindset β she researches, she listens, and she finds what others miss.
Mark Reckling
20+ years in law enforcement across Livingston, Ingham, and Oakland Counties. Mark knows every neighborhood because he has served them for two decades. His investigative background means thorough due diligence on every property.
Alex Thompson
